This category has five sub-categories in the drop-down menu.

The first – Art, literature & music – focuses on Art with a capital A as well as individual art forms, especially painting, poetry and music. The essays which are included in my recent book, Digging for Water, will be archived here once they have been Essay of the Month on LATEST. However, as with my poems and fiction, I need to be careful not to make too many available for free because the big booksellers might remove Digging for Water from their sites if I do this.

There are no such problems with the next two sub-categories: Film Noir and I Ching. These are two of the great interests in my life which I will enjoy writing about. However, I don’t imagine I will ever try to sell any essays about them that I write on here, so I’m free to include them without any concerns about the booksale behemoths.

The fourth sub-category is Book Reviews. Living alone and semi-retired, I have a lot of time to read and think about what I read, so I will sometimes post a book review in LATEST and then archive it here.

The final sub-category is Old Blogs, which is where I will place blogs that are more than six months old. Blogs which are less than six months old will appear in the Menu, Archive.
